Full Time Maintenance Technician

A Maintenance Technician plays a vital role in supporting our 24/7 float glass manufacturing operation. This position ensures the reliability and efficiency of complex, high-temperature production equipment essential to the continuous float glass process. The ideal candidate will have experience in heavy industrial environments and possess strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
 

This position’s primary schedule is a 12-hour ROTATING shift, working 3 or 4 shifts/week.  This schedule provides every other weekend off, only working half the days of the year.

We are looking for someone with:

• Combination of two years’ education/experience in one of these areas:
  • Mechanical experience - related to Industrial environment.
  • Machine shop experience
  • Welding/Fabrication
  • Industrial Electricity
• Industrial Electrical Experience preferred

Qualifications/Physical Requirements For Opening

• Operate power industrial vehicles, once trained and certified
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Reliable transportation
• Must be 18 years of age to apply
• High school diploma or its equivalent preferred
• Basic math, computer and tape measuring skills
• Able to safely lift at least 50 lbs. 
• Must be able to bend, twist, squat, kneel, or stand for long periods of time
• Clear understanding of the English language, both written and spoken
